Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dairy-free butter, softened Country Crock Avocado butter is our plant-based butter of choice usually
  • 7 oz tub of dairy-free cream cheese, softened Violife works really well
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract1 to 2 tbsp dairy-free milk optional, to loosen if it's too thick

Instructions

  • Add the softened dairy-free butter and dairy-free cream cheese to a mixing bowl and beat together until smooth and fully combined.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue mixing until creamy and well blended, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • If the frosting feels too thick, add dairy-free milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach a soft, spreadable consistency.
  • Spread over warm cinnamon rolls, cakes, or cupcakes and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Different dairy-free cream cheese brands can vary slightly in texture and tang
  • Violife gives a really smooth and balanced result
  • Always use softened ingredients for best consistency
 

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days
  • Let it sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before using again so it softens back up
  • Not suitable for freezing
